The location is quiet and offers a delightful view from the top of a hill. The deluxe queen room made us feel at home and it was equipped with a fridge, coffee/tea making facilities, and a dining area. The bed was comfortable.

Excellent experience there. The remote location, excellent staff - exceptionally friendly hotel. Got spotless and absolutely fantastic room with magnificent views to a lush valley view and an adjoining terrace and a mini kitchenette. Good bed, fairly clean bathroom. Location next to the airport and the bus as well as a mountain. Also, on how to get to her place via taxi...

My partner and I had an amazing stay at Rancha Azul Inn. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and made to feel like part of the family. Our room had a personal refrigerator, which was so convenient. The location of the inn provided breathtaking views of the countryside, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The breakfast served was delicious, with fresh fruits, gallo pinto, coffee, and orange juice. We even had the chance to witness hummingbirds feeding on the nectar of the flowers during breakfast, which was truly amazing. The host, Doris, went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay, including organizing transportation for us and providing a personalized walking tour of downtown Alajuela. The price for such a beautiful room and exceptional service was unbeatable. I highly recommend Rancha Azul Inn for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

We stayed at a cozy inn located conveniently close to the airport, making it the perfect place to rest after a long flight. The rooms were spacious and had a small kitchenette, allowing us to prepare meals if we wished. The breakfast offered stunning views of the surrounding volcanoes, and the host Doris provided excellent service, even going out of her way to accommodate our dietary needs.
It was slightly inconvenient that the inn was not within walking distance of any food or shops.

The hostess of the hotel was friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She offered to take us into town with her, gave clear directions for arriving and arranged transportation for us. Her family was also welcoming and we had a great time with them. It was interesting to stay in a more local area and feel like we were part of the community.
Finding the hotel was difficult and the taxi drivers in the area overcharged us, with different drivers quoting different prices. It was frustrating to not have a consistent rate and made getting around more stressful.
